Mary Morel is a consultant, trainer, speaker and author with more than 20 years' experience in internal and external communications.
She is the author of Write to Govern, due for publication early 2009, Talk Up Your Business (Allen & Unwin, 2005),and Promote your Business (Allen & Unwin, 2003). She also contributed two chapters to The Profitable Practice (CCH, 2002).
Mary's qualifications include: BA in English and History, Diploma of Social Work and Diploma of Teaching. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors company directors' course (GAICD).
Born in New Zealand, but now based in Sydney, Mary travels around Australia, New Zealand and Asia–Pacific with her work.
In 2008, Mary was nominated for the Telstra Business Women's Awards.
Bert Hingley
Bert Hingley is a freelance writer, editor and publishing consultant. He has had extensive writing experience (including writing a weekly column for a national magazine), much of it in the business field: writing reports, profiles, PR material, promotional copy, brochures and websites.
He is familiar with all aspects of publishing — editorial, production, print management, sales and marketing – and has worked closely with authors, photographers, designers, typesetters and printers.
Before becoming a consultant, Bert was involved in educational and trade publishing in London, Auckland and Sydney. For many years he was publishing director and executive board member in both New Zealand and Australia for a large international publishing company. He has published a wide variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, including many prize-winning titles, among them a Booker Prize-winner.
Bert’s clients include several publishers, such as ABC Books and Readers Digest, ENS (training consultants), e-lit (a national primary schools association), the NSW Writers’ Centre, the Manuscript Appraisal Agency, the Glebe Chamber of Commerce, and many private clients.
